Stuck at home today on call So I've spinning big and little discs all day Going thru about400 LPs that haven't been played yet including The Standells. Everything today is a 1st timer. Merry Christmas Din.............Bill
2010 release from the Grammy-nominated R&B singer/songwriter. As one of the most distinguished voices in R&B music, Charlie Wilson needs no introduction. The Tulsa, Oklahoma native and former lead singer of the funkadelic brotherly trio, the Gap Band has proven with his last two solo albums that he is more than relevant, he is a hit maker.
400 LPs that haven't been listened to? Hmmm. A few months back, I bought somebody's record collection of over 625 in one fell swoop. I already had plenty that was in that collection, but there was at least 300 I didn't. I decided to go through record by record in order to cull out the keepers from the resale stack. I alphabetized the whole stack and then proceeded into the listening process. Tedious but fun. Because of time constraints as well as my other "normal" listening which includes CDs and Computer-based Music, I'm only up to "F". Bonus.... this collection has more Rod Stewart records than Carter has pills... and my name ain't Maggie May. I had no idea that Rod was that prolific. I lost track of him a long time ago, after his time with Faces, Small Faces and Jeff Beck. Anyway, I definitely won't be hangin' on to this much Rod, no matter how bad his hair is.
WOW!!! I like these a lot...and you found these at the record fair? Did you know of these artists before hand?
