Hard to go too far wrong with those folks. Thanks for the tip.  :thumb: Not the biggest soprano fan, but he's definetly one of the best. I had Belonging on vinyl at one time, will have to check.

I had to look for Belonging,,, I couldn't find it under Jan Garbarek but that's cuz it was listed under Keith Jarrett Quartet. Thank God for J.River, makes looking stuff up easy.

Truth [Original recording reissued, Original recording remastered]
Jeff Beck | Format: Audio CD

Curious - what were your impressions of the remaster ?  While I found there to be more defined separation, and better soundstage, I also found it to be a good bit harsher than the original release. Of all the remaster CDs I've picked up so far, this is really the only one I question with regards to being an improvement. Maybe it's just my system, ears ?

Everything I do is MP3 downloads,,, everything. So I couldn't really answer that question Art. I go for quanity, not quality. At 59, I got priorities.

BTW, here's longer playing samples of Paths Prints if interested.  :thumb:

Hey Robin,

Eberhard has a new release with a somewhat new Colours group, called Colours . ECM is pretty proud of it, undoubtly import so I'll have to wait a bit to pick it up ($21+ used).  His old crew of Rainier Bruninghaus, Jon Christensen, with John Marshall (at one time Soft Machine), & Charles Mariano (on soprano sax). Eventually will have to get it, Weber is one of my all time favorites.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.   :thumb:  At 61 I'm too old for all that fancy new digital stuff, takes more brain power than I've got. Just give me the disc so I can drop it in the slot.  You young wipper-snapper.  :icon_lol:

Got an album title by any chance? The last Eberhard I have is his 2007 album Stages of a Long Journey.

Yep - http://www.amazon.com/Colours-Eberhard-Weber/dp/B002Q8YBYK/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1285484585&sr=1-1

Stages was one of my last purchases, excellent live recording imo.  I haven't checked out the samples yet, but I've got most everything he's done, early on vinyl, later on CD.   :duh: Ok, guess there's something to be said for scrolling down and reading all the info. Appears it's a 3 disc set, re-release of the earlier Colours issues. I wasn't aware Marshal had played with him back then (1975). Guess ya learn something every day if you are open to it.

Ahhh, the failing memory. Just went and checked Little Movements, one of the early Colours releases, and now I'll have to go check my Soft Machine. John Marshall was drums/percussion, Charles Mariano was the soprano sax w/Weber. Figured I'd correct myself before anyone else got to it. Next need to figure out who was woodwinds with Soft Machine.

Art Blakey in Sweden (Amigo).  Hadn't listened to this in a long time.  It's a live date produced and recorded in analog by Kavi Alexander of Water Lily Acoustics fame using a single stereo microphone with no processing.  Bout as fine as it gets sound.
