Wow, that's a lot of coin for a small college radio station with a limited audience. I know they have an Internet presence, but that's still a lot of money. I hope they don't make too many changes to the format, as most of my CD purchases this year came from their afternoon "robo" set lists. The Africana and Reggae shows exposed me to artists I'd never heard of before. A treasure trove of the "wild and obscure". This town sure doesn't need another "classic rock" station

Mike, you in the Houston area or are you streaming KTRU? I'd be surprised if ANY station has a music library as vast as theirs. You sayin U of H is gonna bump Rice Univ radio off the dial?
