Different venue than the Gorge. Maryhill Winery Ampitheater is on the WA side of the river about 15 miles east of The Dalles OR. I was at the Gorge last year. It is as you remember it. BTW, I posted using my Blackberry while enjoying a terrific artist and a nice glass of Merlot in my lo profile REI chair on a grass terrace looking down at the stage. I'll post on the concert when I get back to Spokane.

Ok, the setting looks very similar. Sounds like you had a great time, and got to see a fine show. Didn't know there was another amphitheater on the river. Will have to do some research on access, and who's on their schedule. Don't get to concerts much any more, not much fun alone, and working out timing with the friend's is tricky with all their family obligations. Hope it was a nice drive back to Spokane. Nice town, I get over to visit friends when I can.
