Broken Social Scene - Forgiveness Rock Record

Broken Social Scene: Lo-Fi For The Divided Nights (2010)

Quote
All of the songs on Lo-Fi For The Dividing Nights were recorded in Soma’s B-Room while Forgiveness Rock Record was being made. What these songs have in common is that they were all written in a spirit of playfulness and fearlessness where we could throw our discrimination to the wind and let the judges and critics take the night off. This tiny B-Room sanctuary fomented a very positive frame of mind, ultimately leading to one of the most enjoyable album-making experiences we’ve ever had. We hope you enjoy listening to these songs as much as we enjoyed recording them.

Cheers,
Robin

BobM: Thanks for the reminder and the perspective. We've been doing some remodeling as well, and I'm very familiar with the sound of that chop saw. Have you tried changing the power cord or use hi-end after market fuses? Set it on a Isolation Cones and put a Shakti Stone over the motor.

It's really summer in Southern Illinois just now. We've all been listening to an increasingly, deafening wave of Summer Singing Cicadas. Say that 3X.

Wow Bob, a new heavy metal (& wood) group. Bet you get lots of cuts on each disc, but am sure it will be nice when done.  8)

Arthur,
I just scored Gary Burton "Like Minds" on SACD for $12.99 off E-Bay.Are you familiar with this recording? It has Pat Metheny,Chick Corea,Roy Haynes and Dave Holland on it.

Not specifically decal, but that's a pretty heavy duty line-up, I'd imagine it's a real nice offering. I'll have to check out the samples. Thanks for the tip.  :thumb:

If you like vibes, check out Milt Jackson, old school jazz. Also founding member of the Modern Jazz Quartet.
