Meant to mention this last week...The Guru is gone from this world @48 ( or 43, ?)...RIP

On February 28, 2010, Guru went into cardiac arrest and, following surgery, fell into a coma. It was claimed that Guru had briefly awakened from his coma but died on April 19, 2010, at the age of 48, from cancer.

Getting into the Friday Frame Of Mind:

Miles Davis - Big Fun

Here's some Friday goodness.  Most enjoyable!  :eyebrows:

"Well, I'm not sure on the lineage but I've thought alot about it. It's obviously a multitrack mixdown(gaps between tunes). Some of the JGB stuff from the Debbie Stash are masters(like 6-6-73!!). My best guess of the 7-10-73 is Multitracks(Bob and Betty Ampex MM110)>2 track mixdown MR>R @ 7 1/2 ips.(WB)>DVD. That's what I think it is esp. being a 7 1/2 ips. reel and the dynamics(nice!!). It was probably "working reels" for the original album that Jerry had maybe that he was picking tunes from(?).

She asked me why the singer's name was Alice I
said listen baby you really wouldn't understand

My favorite track: Ballad Of Dwight Fry
I think I lost some weight there
And I--- I'm sure I need some rest
Sleepin don't come very easy
In a straight white vest

Should like to see that little children
She's only four years old--- old
I'd give her back all of her play things
Even, even the ones I stole
