changed my cartridge loading to 1.1kohm(vs. 47k), sounds right, better slap/slam in the upper bass, not as hot on top...

Unfortunately my vinyl is long gone. Keep thinking about getting back into it as there are still a couple hundred lps in a closet but the trouble...oh my God.

Last night my best friend came over for dinner and a long night of listening to vinyl with an occasional CD thrown in. We started early and went late. A very fun evening

CD -- not out in vinyl YET

Newly released 180g, pressed at Pallas & mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analogue tapes. IMO, this pressing blows the original out of the water

When it's time for a major shift it will probably be to a hard drive based system. Can't see a reason to go back and have to purchase all that music again. Plus I'm way too lazy.

Thanks Jerome, I will have to pick one up. It would be nice to have a good classic records reissue too. Of all the early pressings, I think the Decca is superior to the others
