The Pretenders - Live in London

What a great package.  On the first disc you get a CD with 19 tracks from the
show.  It is not the complete concert but producer Gavin Pigott picked a superb
mix of old and new tunes.  The sound quality is outstanding.  On the second
disc you get a DVD of the entire concert in 16:9 widescreen.  List is $19.99 and
I just snagged it from Amazon for $14.99.

Happy Mondays - Bummed

Julian Cope - Peggy Suicide

One thing that I have leared over the years is that as my music library has swelled
to well over 5,000 titles is that it represents just a tiny smattering of what's out there.
No matter how much one might think they know about music it is not possible to experience
it all.  Part of the joy in music is in making discoveries that other people might take as
commonplace.  Before a few days ago I have never even heard of Julian Cope.
I happened upon this selection while shopping for other music on Amazon, and this
title came up in list of recommended titles.  So I played the samples and became
very intrigued and ordered the Deluxe 2 CD edition.  I found this music to be pretty
amazing stuff.
