One of the best releases from 2009.

The Forgas Band Phenomena - Axis of Madness from France. A wonderful combination of fusion, progressive, Canterberry. All made even better by a 7 piece band, including trumpet, sax, violin in addition to the more standard drums, keys, bass, guitar.

I've seen comparisons to Zappa and Carla Bley.

4 long tracks of great compositions and playing.

Solar Sister is mine. There's some odd singing and playing on that song that makes it really unique.
The entire album is a forgotten classic. Got lost in the times I guess.

Yep. I've always thought the Posies got the short end, in general. Great records, but they were a tough act to market.
