This Keith Jarrett quartet is woefully under-recorded, having created less than a handful or so recordings to date. This particular effort from 1974 is mesmerizing and keeps me transfixed from the moment the needle glides into the first notes until the stylus finally rounds the deadwax. I don't have it on CD so I do not have any opinion on the digital transfer. This album also has the dubious distinction of containing the musical passage that Steely Dan illegitimately copied on their Gaucho record.
