If you are a Lucinda Williams fan try Mary Gauthier. She has similar great song writing (both lyrics and instruments), gritty edge, and darkness. Sorry, at the time of posting Amazon did not have samples otherwise I would link them here. But in all fairness, the 30 second clips would not do this CD justice.

Now i listen to both Lucinda Williams and Mary Gauthier but i would have never have equated them together. Interesting i will have to think about that. the Mercy Now track from this cd Made my Demo list for RMAF this year.
