Timmy- You know I'm mad about the lass but after revisiting samples of Bound (I confess that I only had only intended to order it) I must say I prefer her later albums, Maria, in particular. I think she found more sympathetic accompaniment by this time and became more unbound, so to speak. musically and artistically. Her voice, her instrument, is positively acsendant to me on some of her work. "Would You Go" from this, is an example. That's entirely a personal trip, of course. I think she is a special being but one whose work is erratic. At it's best, for me, she is 'out of this world', the name of my favorite Coltrane excursion, and that's not by accident.
