Don McLean - Best of Don McLean

George

I think Mclean's version of "Crying" is a fantastic cover.

Spiral Architech - A Sceptic's Universe

My $.02... this album is pretty interesting from technical perspective.  Its technical music for big prog fans.  The music is quite interesting but unfortunately for me the vocals are not.  They just seem awkward and keep you from drawing yourself into the music.  Still the album is interesting enough in spite of the vocals.  There are some good reviews on amazon that sum it up better than I could.

Pain of Salvation - Remedy Lane

This is much better and more progressive then Scarsick.  In fact it is hard to believe that this is the same band.  Doesn't sound anything alike at all.  Scarsick is more nu-metal, whereas this is more a progressive rock anthem.
