Harper: Down to the Rhythm (2005)

This is one very addicting blues fusion album for an Aussie to less. This sleeper can't even be found on Youtube. Highly recommended!

Last LP for tonight.

"Ella Sings the Johnny Mercer Song Book." What a beautiful combo. Ella's voice with lyrics and tunes of Johnny Mercer's. Simply beautiful

Picked this LP up used a while ago. On Verve Record. Originally released in 1964 I think but I don't know when my LP copy was pressed. Don't know how to read the code on it. Anyway, it sound great. Can't see myself listen to this album on CD after this.

I like this album...kinda reminds me of Telepopmusik in parts...google search turned up a lot of not so good reviews, YMMV. But screw the nay-sayers, I like it...so much that I played it twice in a row, which is rare for me.
