Larry's good, love the funk. Yah, FSOL is hard to choose. Lifeforms is great, looking for more of their's at that level. Orb is usually fun.

Laura Nyro- Smile. And I am. Her decision to use bassist Richard Davis on this is wise, indeed. He is well known to his fellow musicians and needs to be known by you. Everything he's on is the better for it. He just burns on Andrew Hill's Point of Departure (Blue Note). Dig him on the opening cut, Refuge. Dig everybody on this cut. No ordinary composition this, highly original, and a springboard for the soloists. It's great, great stuff!
