The John Butler Trio, grand national

On first listen I seem to prefer his previous(2004) release, Sunrise over sea... the sound on the 2004 album seems superior to my ears...but take a listen and decide for yourself.

Macy sounds great on this, her latest album...she is stretching out, and sounding beautiful doing it. Nice tight sound too...a little compressed but sounds good.

Sarah Vaughan at Mister Kelly's

the just reissued release of this 1957 live recording...a bit short at 34minutes over 9 tracks, which mirrors the original LP album, art work et all. The previous cd release(1991) had more than twice the number of tracks, which makes this 2007 reissue seem frugal. But the music is good...

RC pays homage to Miles...nice.
