what a day
first my wife finds a dead janitor in the parking lot.
Then I leave work and find a body in a pool of blood at the exit of my workplace, thank god he was breathing.
Then after an overtime shift on VD I come home to hear my step mom has emhysema.
There is only one recourse...
Wayne Newton, Mr Las Vegas.

Hey, how 'bout Sinatra, "Live In Las Vegas" at the Sands......a nice bookend to Wayne.....

Sorry to hear about the bodies & all the other stuff going down, especially the emphysema .....you should write a blues song, just humm it in your head....."Too many bodies going down...in tha city tonight...." or somethin like that....

Think about being on the Sunday Morning Ride on a clear day, Nicky Hayden decided to show up & do it just for the fun of it (not that he ever is actually stupid enough to ride on the street)...& he's on an RCV1 w/ lights & a license plate, & of course you know the road so much better than him that you beat him to the Stinson Beach lookout by about 3 minutes....in fact you slow down 2 or 3 times to let him pass you just so you can enjoy swooshing by him....you are on your second cigarette (not saying what kind) by the time you hear his bike's computerized anti-lock compression release kick on for the final right hander before the Stinson lookout...................ooooh yeah, it feels good beating Nicky.....

Another amazing recording from this boys' group from south London( at least they used to be from London pre 1998). This is their 4th recording, so if you like this you may want to seek out their earlier albums. Their latest (5th) album, Angels,  came out last year...since I have all their previous albums I would be looking to pick that one up too. Their voices (about 24 of them) beckons you to another world, a mystical world...

Me too. Wincing is quickly becoming my favorite Shins album.

Right now I'm listening to Xavier Rudd's Solace

Great stuff from an Aussie well versed in aboriginal instruments, especially the didgeridoo.

G.B.A. is one of those songs that really moves me each time I hear it. So powerful

Hey Wolfy, many tracks here worthy of the 2007 demo disc.

Wow...I received this cd just before the Towermania-madness and it got buried under the rush...dug it out today and am blown away by the beauty of its sound and musical interplay of these two Malian musicians. Clean, pure kora and guitar sounds...all improvised.

A remix version of the French-Algerian DJ Cheb 2005 La Kahena, by various fellow DJs/producers.
Samples: http://www.amazon.com/Ghriba-Kahena-Remixes-Cheb-Sabbah/dp/B000FDFS86

I wonder...if you remix someone else's album, is it still the original artist's album or should the remixer take the credit?
