Hey!

I've always find that album cover disturbing and even more so... sad. Why? Well, for some younger people who didn't know. That ain't fake. It is for real. This happened during the Vietnam war of which Buddhist monks burned themself to death to protest the war, freedom of religion and  etc. :?

It is very bold to use photo like that for CD cover.

But for those who don't know do some research on the story behind it and you likely will never look at that picture the same way again.

I won't say more about it here since there are big brothers watching over me here.

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Soulful and funky, New Orleans style of course... 39minutes of top notch music...Marvin Gaye would be proud. This is for New Orleans...questions...

Buddy,
I think most fans of RATM knew what that picture was of.  Very sad indeed, especially since it was so futile.  RATM was purposeful in choosing it, even though they were a bunch of upper middle class spoiled rich kids from Irvine CA (can you say the OC?).

Buddy,

Yes, I am aware it is a real picture. Honestly, I was just listening to the album and certainly did not mean to offend anyone.. They are reuniting this year as a band are touring.. Pretty cool..

Cheers,

Hey!

KiD, don't get me wrong man.:D I'm sure you know. Just a reminder for younger generation. It is good to learn about history and try to prevent it from repeating itself... although it tend to do so anyway. :? Who know? Maybe the album cover caused some younger people to find out about it.

Although I don't own any of their album but I've have heard them before. But they are a great new generation of rock band.

JoshK, well that make sense. Not a bad thing than to raise some awareness. Aren't we lucky that we have freedom to listen to any kind of music we want.... of cause not to mention other freedoms we have also. :D

Well, I guess it is just me as a photographer. Every time I'm looking at photos I can't help myself but to think what is behind the photo itself.... you know a single photograph can sometime changes the world :D

Anyway, I don't to say too much on this since it is not about audio and music   Well, carry on guys!  :guitar: :drums:

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:
