The compositions of Eric von Essen, who died at the young age of 43, are performed by many of his peers. Some beautiful music...

SACD version. Asshole mastered. It sounds good, but they mastered it with Elton John's voice much to low. The old vinyl version I have with all the pops, clicks, and what not, even after washing it some, is magic in comparrison.

How is the sound quality? That sounds interesting.

World Without Tears by Lucinda Williams

This is one kick butt recording. If they all sounded this good.
On "Atonement" if the overdriven guitar would have only com' a blazin' in heavy, I would've given her one of these

Bearing in mind that it was recorded in 87/88, the recorded sound level is the norm for those times, meaning you will have to boost the volume at least 10 degrees to achieve similar volume  vs current cd mastering. Sound quality-wise, I would say at least 3.75 out of 5...maybe even a 4. I think its out of print, but you may find it used.

2-disc set, at approx. 26 minutes each disc...now why the hell didn't they use just one disc? Some of his stuff just misses the mark...this one was very uninvolved for me...but its just a sole listen...maybe I need to "break it in"...

I never heard of her again after that first single that was on the radio every hour on the hour.

A quartet of fine musicians, Kenny Garret, Geri Allen, Charnett Moffett and his late dad, Charles Moffett. Traditional jazz structures mainly, with some good improvisations within the outline of said structure.

Fugazi, 13 songs.
Just got it again, and it is like visiting an old friend.
The recording sounds better than a lot of the era power punk too.
