This is a surprise find, cool acid jazz/ soul funk, like Incognito or US3... Sounds a little the old (80's) Roy Ayers/Ramsey Lewis sound too.

Debut album for this jazz singer backed by a big band with some very fine players. She does pretty good on the standards she covers like Georgia on my mind, Fools rush in, evergreen, my funny valentine.

Thank you Captain...she sure surprised me, thought she was just another young pretty face riding the Diana Krall wave. Bought it on the basis of the players in the band, thought it would at least have some good jazz jams

Some great jamming on some unusual (for jazz) songs by Pavement. Every one sounds relaxed, yet the playing is tight and precise. James Carter, Cyrus Chestnut, Ali Jackson and Reginald Veal.
