Talk about two totally opposite musical selections...  Seattle grunge vs. adult fluff.   :duel:

Hey Buddy

Heres one for you thats pretty cool.

This album is sort of a blend of hip hop and the Speak Easy Jazz of the 20's. It works pretty darned well.

Heres a few samples...

Man! there are so many great musics out there that I don't know of. :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

PS

Last night I ordered the new Kean "Under the Iron Sea" and Air "Talkie Walkie" on LPs from Acoustic Sounds. Man! Can't wait til they get here. :D

I listen to that one quite abit. As I said once before if this album had been released way back then. Today it would be thee all time rock classic.
I think I read somewhere that Alvin Lee was considered the fastest guitar in the west. He plays so many notes that it would make the likes of Burl Ives head spin. :guitar:

I'm listening to a cd I dug out from a spindle my friend gave me. Pretty intense and the bass is heavy. It is electonic music of somekind that I don't know quite how to discribe. The cd 'Prodigy-Always Outnumbered". Anyways I was quite impressed with it so I think I'll give it another spin. If you like heavy electronic stuff you may want to give this a try.

All very true Mag....seeing them live was an experience. In fact I still have the Fillmore East program from this very show. If I had know it was being recorded, I would of yelled louder..... 8)

Well I gave it a spin after the Prodigy disc and I still love this album. I think I have a remastered version so the sound quality is quite good. I love the bass playing on this not just Alvin's guitar technic.
I watched Woodstock last week and liked the way they played 'I'm going Home' on that, and took note on how he plays the guitar. I also like the way Ritchie Haynes, if I remember his name correctly who opened Woodstock, jammed on his guitar. Then Santana with their great number. Those were the days, we thought they'd never end. :bawl:

After listening to Ten Years After last night, it reminded me of all the rock guitarist's that I enjoyed in the late '60's. Sure you had Hendrix, and Clapton, and Page. But I listened to other's as well....for different reasons....and to learn their licks. :guitar:
Some overnite listening....of some fine works...
For Technique....Jeff Beck - "Truth"
For Speed...Ten Years After with Alvin Lee - "Ssssh"
For Feeling....TASTE with Rory Gallagher -"TASTE"
For Smoke'in Twin Lead Guitar's....Thin Lizzy with Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham - "Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous"
And For Tone....Leslie West - "Mountain"
Should be a fun nite of listening....rock on... :guitar:

This is indeed a very good recording, very relaxing Jazz, high quality recording, it's going to be one of my favourite Jazz CDs. It's called "The Great Audio Experience", produced by legendary Phil Ramone, it has the following title:

1. Get Your Hopes Up - Taylor Eigsti
2. What Love Is - Erin Boheme
3. Carrie The Spinx - David Benoit
4. The Party - David Benoit
5. Rewind That - Christian Scott
6. Giant Steps - Taylor Eigsti
7. The Kyper - Poncho Sanchez
8. She - Christian Scott
9. One Night with Frank - Erin Boheme
10. Somwhere Over The Rainbow - Ray Charles with Johnny Mathis

I cannot find this title in Amazon, it's not for sale, but you can get it at participating CEA dealer stores, here's the news about this recording:

And to look for dealer stores, check out www.greataudio.com

Chris, unless you told me you've got this already, I'm sending you one.. :thumb:
