Nice pic of the trio Buddy...just when I find a band I like, they break up...bummer. Oh well, I will seek out their earlier albums. Skye's voice is quite seductive.
Listenning to the CD again on the computer, I really like their approach to the music.

Hey!

I know it is kindna sad that the UK based Morcheeba that we know is no longer together. :( Well, nothing last forever. Of cause thier left us with many great songs for us to enjoy forever. :D

Okay, Morcheeba is still alive but with a new singer. Won't be the same, but who know you and I might like the new Morcheeba too.

mjosef, with the greatest hits CD you already have lots of thier great songs. But still I highly recommend that you get thier first and second albums of which I think are the best of all the albums thier have made. You could just let them spin without skipping any track... they are great.

Thier first album "Who Can You Trust" Hard to believe that this came out in 1996! I still like to listen to it.

The second album "Big Calm" released  1998. Check out the cover man! I think this is one of the greatest album cover ever for audiophile. Lukily they recently re-released this on vinyl LP. I got my from Music Direct.

I hope that they will re-release the first album on vinyl too. That would be like a dream come true for me.

Anyway, enjoy thier wonderfully made music man! :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Donnell Jones - U Know What's Up

I thought the quality of recording of this one is pretty decent compared to a lot of the other albums that I owned.

Yeah, I keep it in my regular rotation because of that as well.

Borrowed this cd from a friend as I recalled liking one fast song and one slow song I heard on the radio from this disc.  It is a solid disc, feelin' kinda hip right now...I might just go to a club on South Beach tonight
If I can get in that is, I don't think I have the right kind of clothes.

The Hindu Kush Mountain Boys Plus One: bluegrass spiritual would be the closest to type. if you can find this lp, grab it - just picked up from emil anghel on audiogon - crystal clear signal, awesome harmonies, foot tapping stuff.
