Handel: Feuerwerksmusik; Wassermusik

Almost a little too regal, but still some fine music.

Hey!

Yup, the Queen of pop newest album.  :D More of disco beat on this I think, not bad. I didn't pay much attention at first when this first came out. But after I've heard it at my friend apartment, I can't seem to get that song out of my head! Hard to believe that she is what? 37 or 38 now?  :o

Oh! I've got this on limited pink vinyl LPs! :P Pretty cool.. look kindna out of place with it neon pink colored LP on my all black Rega Planar 2

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

SETMAN, I've been telling people that this Madonna album is really addictive, it's the discoesque beat for sure.  I got hooked when I heard a club remix of "Hung UP" the bass was fantastic it just beat me into submission, I had t buy the CD.  I got the CD and it just pumps pretty much all the way through. I find it stressed both the top and bottom end.  Took the disc to a friends place who has metal dome tweets and I nearly lost my mind it was so bright. He kicked me out because of the faces I was making   :finger:
Thank you, I'm not the only one.

Hey!

launche, yeah that's the song that got stuck in my head after I've heard it at my friend's  That song is pretty catchy isn't it?

Yup, the bass lines on this album is the key I would say to this album. I don't know how the CD sounds but the pink LPs set I've got sound pretty good. :D

The story about your friend system is funny. Hey! at least you were just making faces and did not stick your fingers in your ears!

Oh! btw. 3 of my friends when to see her concert a week or 2 ago here in NYC and they said that it was good and she still got it. :D

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

I have this on CD.  It's a return to form, as I can only really take Madonna's music when it is true to her dance club roots.  This album has that in spades and a good Abba sample to boot.

Michael

Hey!

Michael, you are right. :D This album dose reminded of her older late 80's to early 90's stuffs. Pretty good album, fun to listen to.

What? You've got this on CD? :? C'mon man! Get the LP man! Yeah they are neon pink, will definately look good on your black Roksan TT man

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

I should get it on LP, but it's kind of expensive, no?  I usually reserve my $30 or more LP purchases for reissues from Speaker Corners, Classic Records, MFSL, etc., but if it's less than $20 for a newer album, I'll bite.

Hey!

Yeah, this so called Pink Limited Edition LP http://www.musicdirect.com/products/detail.asp?sku=LDM4601%2D2 cost me $40 from Musicdirect.

You are right  it is expensive. But I just can't help it... I'm a sucker and got to have it on LP if I know they released on vinyl LP. You know my non-audiophile friends called me crazy because I could have it on cd for about $10... oh! well

I just have to cut my expenses on other thing.... like no Starbuck Frappucino for a week, that will make it up.

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

PS

I saw this pink LP at Rebel Rebel downtown on Bleeker St. and if I my memory serves me right, it cost more there... $50 I think :?

There is absolutely no shame in spending your $$$ to buy new records.  It's as noble a purchase as one can make in this hobby IMO.

www.last.fm, now that its production and not beta.

Its my audio server....until I get around to buying the hard drive space, backup capabilities, and find the time to rip 3000 CDs....while giving me the ability to hear everything I don't own too.

Outside of that, I'm completely addicted to Regina Spektor.

If you don't know her, find her website, google every fan site to pick up every live recording, buy everyone of her albums, and then fly any distance necessary to see her live.

Just got this, also includes a dvd of 3 numbers live at the Brixton Academy. Tasty blend of trip, funk, soul, trance, disco, jazz, rock and whatever from the South London trio. Since I am listenning on my HT rig, can't comment on the cd-sonics, however the dvd sound was quite good.

Hey!

Cool man! Morcheeba is one of my favorite trip-hop band. Love thier trip-hop fusion style of a bit of jazz, soul and etc as you've said. I have read it some where that the lead singer Skye Edwards studied and trained as a jazz vocalist. And I think it shows with her laid back and smooth vocal on those albums.

Sadly Skye left the band after this Greatest hits CD that you've got was released. I I don't have thier latest album but it seem like the new Morcheeba with new singer is heading into a different direction in music style.

Anyway, still today thier first "Who Can You Trust" and second album "Big Calm" still got spin time on my system. :D

Just dim the light grab a glass of nice merlot and enjoy that CD man.

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:
