Well, I guess you could call it British pop. It sort of leans towards club music (disco) but not quite.

Goldfrapps Felt Mountain has a COMPLETELY different feel to it. Its very dark. It reminds me of either Film Niore or a Fellini movie. Dark, different and extremely cool.

Surf up to Amazon and play a few samples. They'll give you a good idea of the sound.

Judas Priest - British Steel

Sometimes it takes me awhile to come around and listen to the classics from a previous generation. As luck would have it, this one has got an AWESOME hi-fi sound on it. It begs to be turned up loud. The solo drum sound on "Living After Midnight" is absolutely delicious. Right after this my player shuffled to a modern day recording: Dragonforce. Night and day difference in sound. Painful. No meat on it, just compressed fuzz. But hey, if all records sounded the same life would be boring.
