I finally got my analog set up running.  It took almost 5 months to get my Luxman EQ-500, but it’s been worth the wait.  Just got to let things settle and adjust everything.  I’ll tube roll my NOS tubes into the Luxman after a good listening of the stock J squared tubes.

This record is older than me but sounds incredible - 1963.  I still remember going to Fedco Pasadena with my dad way back when.

Hey!

Yeah, that's the power of music. I sometime dig up albums that I got years ago and would be transported back to the time, place and people I was with when I've heard it for the first time.

Are you spinning it on SME 15? Nice! I see that on your avatar.

My dad had a collection of records that I picked up recently.  He had some classical and Readers Digest collections.  I was amazed at how good Swan Lake sounds.

Thank you!  Yes that’s my new SME 15 / 309 / Hana Umami Red.  Loving the combo.

If any of those Reader's Digest collections are classical, they actually RCA shaded dog vinyl... RCA at the height of its quality. Many are excellent recordings a pressings.

Hey!

Yeah, they really know how to record sound back then and they don't even have fancy digital stuffs like we have today.

Talk about SME, a few years ago I thought of getting a used SME V but never did, the price wasn't high like today and now I can't afford it! :duh:

Anyway, I also have SME arms right now... but older ones, 3009 II and 3009 II Improved. And also a Hana cart... but the cheapest one the EL. The Hana Umami looks delicious though
