Tone Poems III: The Sounds of the Great Slide & Resophonic Instruments, David Grisman With Bob Brozman & Mike Auldridge.

Amazing stuff..if you love blues, jazz, ragtime standards and sweet acoustic guitar this one is for you. All 3 have amazing talent and style.

My first listen to this one. Nice and clean blues. Reminds me of an early Led Zepplin album (1 or 2?) on some tracks.

"We mourn the sweetheart's loss..." Quite a refreshing album, and no computers! How does he get the bass effect (I am not an electric guitar/studio expert) ? Is it synthesized from the guitar?

Oh yeah, I agree this guy is good! I am drooling over this acoustic guitar...What a range of musical talent considering his rock hits. A great production with balance and none of that ugly studio disease.

I don't know technically how Jack White gets the bass effect from his guitar (lonewolf- any idea?). However, when I saw him play 7-nation army live, he definitely played out that bass line on the guitar, but I was too far to see exactly what he did.
