Jazz-funk from the British acid jazz scene, as always a solid performance.

Great group. I listened to Argus and Theres the Rub earlier today.
FUBB has to be one of the all time GREAT rock songs ever

In fact wasn't Andy Powell arrested in your hometown for announcing the actual name of that song on stage? (FUBB=Fucked Up Beyond Belief)

Anyway, heres what was just spinning..

A sampler of the European jazz scene at the outer edge of classical music...the German avant garde label, between the lines

I  love just about all of Joni's 70's and 80's work, such high quality...Jaco is on a few of the tracks, but no Wayne Shorter. An HDCD remaster.

Nothing like a little 80's pop music to help work go by a little faster (as I sit in a hotel room in Hannibal Missouri).

Pensive jazz moods...unexpected twist and turns...am reminded of the ECM sound.
Hmmm..there is even a hidden 11th track, the CD list 10, like finding lost treasure.

Yeah, that is sad, I hadn't heard that!  He was younger than I would have guessed!  Was he with The Stones on the last few tours?  I haven't really followed that the last few years

    FABULOUS stuff !!!

I've been trying like crazy to get the word out about these guys.

Heres a link to a review I wrote a few years ago over at TNT.
    http://www.tnt-audio.com/topics/est_e.html

I even gave them a Blue Note Award (like that really means anything) over at ETM

you gotta scroll down towards the bottom of the page

This is GOOD stuff fellas. You NEED to surf over to Amazon and give it a listen....

Thats a shame about Billy. I saw him touring with Clapton a couple of years ago. That was the supposedly the 'last' Clapton tour before he retired. Just so happens I've got floor seats (nice and close) to see Clapton touring this September.
