samples..........................IMHO, firing Diamond Dave was one of the worst decisions ever in rock history. A close second would be when Mick Taylor left the Rolling Stones to pursue a solo career

For me it was Paul D'Amour quiting Tool.

FWIW, I never liked DLR...Sammy was a welcome change.

Sammy has a better hard rock voice, but Diamond Dave had all the panache and was such a great frontman IMO. Of course, there are supporters for both and I can't think of one supporter for when that asshat Extreme frontman was the Van Halen lead singer for one album in the late 90's.

asshat....good one. Yeah I see your point, just that I thought DLR was too much of a queen for my sensibilities. But then I was always more into hard rock then pop rock. I know you are more of hte opposite.
