Well, they are a great band and I'm always happy to hear some of you folks south of us have been exposed to them

Strangely enough, it took me some time to realize their talents started listening to them since the beginning at parties and such but just wasn't a fan early on. They grew on me ! I'm now a big fan. especially of their earlier albums. Many of their songs have a lot of content that is very "Canadian", the stories and history are interesting and reflect upon the 60's, 70's, and 80's up here.
Although it's tragic what's happened to the Downie family, it's also great to see Gord keep going and to bring some awareness to some ongoing issues that have been plaguing this country for so long. (check out "thje Secret Path") He's the real deal man
