Orf-  Don't know this recording (is it new?) but I know the artists.  Glad to see someone appreciates them, too.  Ive always liked Shepp's ballad work in particular.  There is a cat from eastern Europe named Heinz Sauer who plays ballads especially well also and seems to be a kindred spirit to Shepp, IMO.  It seems to me that it was Mal Waldron on piano on Dolphy's Five Spot dates.  I got stuff in storage I haven't listened to in years (got an old recording of Shepp with Bill Dixon from the avant garde jazz days), I really need to remedy that.  Thanks.

Mj-  I'm gonna check that one out just as soon I come back from this trance listening to Echoes.

(later) Not much later than I said that, they (Echoes) switched to some really boring stuff.  Maybe it's just me but I can't seem to get much consistency from them.  And I was really getting gone.  And yet, it's gotten somewhat better just now.  Still, they piss me off on average.

(later still)  Mj-  Couldn't find a way to hear samples.

How do you get the pictures of the album covers posted on ?

Do a Google image search on the desired album.  Right click and save the image location.  Click on insert image icon (second from left on the row just above the emoticons) and paste the image location.  If the album art can't be located, then you have to take a picture of your cover and upload it into your gallery here or elsewhere.  Then do the same to embed it in your post.
