The Chameleons are one of my favorite bands. Sad so few people have heard of them. Their concert DVD "Ascension" is one of the best live concert discs I own. They have an "electric" and "acoustic" side that will blow you away.

The Chameleons are one of my favorite bands. Sad so few people have heard of them. Their concert DVD "Ascension" is one of the best live concert discs I own. They have an "electric" and "acoustic" side that will blow you away.

Hadn't heard of them myself... after reading  the above I  did a quick search on Rdio  and threw on "Acoustic Sessions" whcih I'm liistening to now , looking forward to listening to more !.
Now I need to order that  DVD as well as the  Bela Fleck  one  AD recommended

I have had this for a year or so and I really like it. I have determined that I like post-punk bands, so I have been making a point to aquire albums from Joy Division, the Chameleons, the Sound, and a few more. Just wish the Comsat Angels albums were more available.

Yeah, the Comsat Angels albums are due for a re-release. The prices even for used discs have gotten silly. Since you like post punk you should look for a band called For Against. They are from Nebraska of all places and they are phenomenal. They're relatively unknown but all their discs are available on eBay and Amazon - and pretty cheap. All but one of their albums is 4 star or above on Allmusic.com.
