A beyond interesting musician. While it's in a totally different vein a friend got me the 'Throw Down Your Heart' DVD, after we watched the 'Quick' DVD which he'd not seen. [I have to Thank martyo at this point for my intro to Bela] He's taken his roots in bluegrass places not many could, and no one else has. While the Allmusic review on your CD, which I don't have but will be added to the list, seems on the surface at best a 5 of 10 comment, you'd have to have heard a variety of his music to know it's really more like an 8 or 9 of 10. While the 'Live @ the Quick' DVD is more of what would be considered a jazz show, if you liked the "Outbound" disc, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the 'Quck' show.

I see the album is available on my music service but figure I'll hold off until I order the DVD.

Haven't listened to a lot of his albums yet , but the ones I have , I really enjoyed. "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo" gets a little out there in places but enjoyed it too, "Bluegrass Session: Tales From The Acoustic Planet, Volume 2" is up next
