David Bowie - Station to Station 1976 ( 2010 remastered Special Edition )

The return of the Thin White Duke's 1976 blow-blizzard masterpiece, packaged up as a nice remaster along with the often-bootlegged Live At Nassau Coliseum '76. So blitzed was The Dame at this stage that he claims to have no recollection of even having made this record. The remaster is superior to the ubiquitous 1999 version but it still rankles me that this album escaped the attention of whoever selected which Bowie albums would get the SACD treatment but whataya gonna do? A high point in the Bowie catalogue, a hugely influential album and well worth checking out.

One of the proudest moments of my life. He got a Lifetime Achievement Award that day. He deserves so many more.

Pansixt : You're a lucky guy. B.B. King is a giant. One Kind Favour is a really good album - that cat doesn't need a bunch of special guests onboard to deliver the goods. That album should serve as a reminder to those who have given up on him that he is King Of The Blues for a reason.
