How's the sound quality on this live album?
I liked her singing when she was a member of Noah and the Whale, but just can't seem to get into her solo stuff. Maybe it's the song selection.
I don't have the most revealing system, but I didn't notice any sound quality issues with the album. The music on the album is not that complex, many of them were just Carole and her piano.
Her songs on the album are very sparse. Just her and a guitar. I thought it sounded pretty good, but the songs kind of all ran together.
Even though she was only the backup singer with Noah and the Whale, she seemed to enjoy singing with Charlie Fink more than her solo stuff in my opinion.
You don't need the most revealing system to be able to hear the acoustics of Carnegie Hall. What I'm after is the recording fairly transparent? Also, did the piano have the harmonics of a real piano? Thanks.
