No turntable here either, but I have been reading up on them for the first time in decades. I never heard of Rdio but recently signed up with MOG so I could listen to newer albums before pulling the trigger. They don't have a lot of the older stuff I like, so I don't think I'll stop collecting any time soon.
"Real Genius" is one of those movies you almost have to watch when it's on. Like "Weird Science" and "War Games" - you just can't turn it off 
I couldn't get MOG up here, they don't allow Canadian subscribers due to licensing issues.
Rdio seems to have quite a bit of the older stuff. They do have a free week trial if you're interested, that is what got me

After the first week, it's $4/month.
Crappy thing about them is they offer no choioc of bit rates and they won't ell you what bit rate your're listening to. Most of the music I have tried there is pretty decent quality , there has been the odd exception.
Yup, those movies all kind of grab you. I've actually watched all of them farily recently again
