A powerhouse of a quartet...FK might be the most obscure of drummers, but he has a big dynamic sound...and he is the leader here with Pharoah Sanders on sax, Drew Gress on double bass and John Esposito on piano.
The sound is re minescent of late Coltrane at times...with many quieter reflective moments.
Beautiful music.

A more spontaneous Banco de Gaia album...hard to believe that it was recorded live over 12 years ago.
