I think we're the only two Prince fans on this site  8) I don't have them all, but I have what I consider his best: 1999 - The "Love Symbol" album. Well, all of those minus Batman. Sign 'O' the Times being my favorite.

No Batdance for you then ? I've got almost all of his albums ( MASSIVE catalogue ) and have seen him live twice: in a 1500 seater on the Rainbow Children tour and then again this year on his arena tour. Dude's a giant. Figuratively speaking, that is. :green:

Nope, no Batdance. That's probably the only album from that period that I don't like. The only time I saw him live was in Indianapolis on the "1999" tour back in 82. It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen.

So far it's really good. A return to form more in line with Madonna and Source Tags And Codes and less like the last few albums. From an audiophile point of view, it's a messy listen like pretty much all their albums but to me that's neither here nor there. I got the crazy book version of this - the album, a segued version of the album with altered track order and extra tracks all stuffed into a 180-odd page excerpt from an illustrated novel Conrad Keely has written. Download that from iTunes !

Are you on the mend, Josh?

D.D.

Further to the SQ, as I get deeper into this, I would have to say that the sound is actually a fair bit cleaner than a lot of TOD albums. So progress on that front as well. All in all a solid effort from a band which has spent a fair bit of their careers with two wheels in the grass and well worth checking out.
