This sounded a bit to me like a Yes album. First time I had ever listened to them, so I can't really compare it to any of their earier albums. I liked the album.

I found out tonight that an old Navy buddy of mine passed away. We lost contact some time ago, and this wasn't recent, but it still shocked me. Tim Gibbs was the guy who first introduced me to post-punk and new wave music. During every visit he would throw a couple discs in my basket and say "Trust me, you're going to like this". I always did. His influence on my music collection is everywhere. He's responsible for most of the music that I currently own. I'm sure he'd be proud of what he created

Tim's favorite album was Wire "154". His favorite song: "Map Ref. 41°N 93°W" (same album).

Here's to you Tim. R.I.P. my brother.

Tim had a positive influence on everyone he met. His two passions were Civil War history and music. He could talk for hours about both. The guy was a living encyclopedia of post-punk music.

Your favorites are similar to mine. Since you like The Chameleons you should give The Comsat Angels a listen (if you haven't already). Some of their albums are really tough to find, but worth the effort. "Sleep no More" is my favorite, but it's almost impossible to find on CD for a decent price. "Fiction" and "The Glamour" are still very reasonable. They're an amazing band. I could listen to them for hours.
