Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man 1988

Nearly 25 years after it's release, I can't think of a song which captures the current Zeitgeist any better than Everybody Knows.
Here's hoping everybody gets their box of chocolates and a long-stemmed rose in 2012.

That's been in my Amazon wishlist for a couple of weeks. It got great reviews and was a 2011 top-pick at Metacritic.com. I guess I should pull the trigger and put it in my cart

Among other goodies, this re-issue features both the New York and L.A. mixes of the album. The L.A. mix offers something basically missing from the New York mix : bass. What a concept...

Angel City ( The Angels ) - Face To Face 1978 ( 2011 re-mastered re-issue )

Most underrated Aussie band ever. Incendiary live shows and great straight-up rock'n'roll - the first two songs on this album (Take A Long Line and Marseilles ) are reason enough for these guys to be getting carried around in sedan chairs for the rest of their lives.
