Thanks, Robin. Now if I can just remember how to do this next time. This a bad LADY, ya'll. Her album "Deja Blue" is HDCD encoded and more dynamic and vivid. Plus it's bad to the bone, too, especially the title track- don't miss the guitar break(!)- and her duet with Doug Sahm on Too Late. She used to be a fixture at Antone's in Austin, Texas in the 80's and sang with the likes of Buddy Guy, Albert King, and Muddy, to name a few.
Forever is a Japan Only Release from Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White. Produced by Lenny White. Disc 1 is a sort of best-of sampler from the all-acoustic Corea, Clarke and White world tour of 2009. Jazz standards, exquisite Corea-classics, a beautiful new Stanley tune and even some RTF unplugged pieces. Disc 2 is a bonus CD that's got its own story. to help kick off the trio tour at the Hollywood Bowl, the guys invited some friends to join them. Lofty friends indeed. Violin virtuoso Jean-Luc Ponty, vocal great Chaka Khan and a very special reunion with original RTF guitarist Bill Connors. Most of these tracks are first take runs recorded at Mad Hatters studio, banter included.
Yep, I'll spin Self-Titled, Shine on Brightly, A Salty Dog, Broken Barricades all K2HD
Found 4 Cd set of "The Complete Carnegie Hall Performances of Charlie Parker" import at a local second hand store. Have it on now. Pretty good Parker. In many of the performances (if not most) he is not the star. Just playing along. So most of this is reissued stuff of other performers recordings. Nice to have it all in one set.Definitive Records box set (2007) 'made in EU'. total times for the discs are 71:26, 67:56, 63:41, and 61.38 so that is a lot of Charlie Parker for $12.
