Well...this is my very first cd of Willie Nelson...and I like his sound/style. I had heard him before on TV and such but I never felt the urge to run out and buy his music, besides the fact that I am not a big country music fan. Ok, so seeing that I like how he sounds here on this disc, laidback-effortless-and homely, what other disc of his should I consider???

This is one band that was up/out there in their musical concepts back in the day...talking the latter 60's here. First heard this album back in '72-'73 when I was but a little boy, man that was weird shit back then, right alongside the Zappa and Hendrix stuff. Just picked this new, 2006 remastered, release up...still has some of that edginess I remembered from so long ago. A bit short at 34 minutes or so, but an essential addition to the musical genre.

Disc 2: Miles runs the Voodoo down/Sanctuary/Great Expectations/ Orange Lady/ Yaphet/ Corrado

Interesting to note the difference in recording quality on these jazz recordings and the earlier rock-pop ones I played earlier...this current recording is way above the others. Mhnnn....
