This is a fantastic 4CD/1DVD boxed set that is a marvelous showcase for Hornsby's
musical genius. If all you really like are his hits, such as The Way It Is and Mandolin
Rain, and others, then this set probably isn't for you. The hits are here, but the
performances and sometimes even the arrangements are a little different. For example,
Disc 1 leads off with The Way It Is, with just Bruce's vocals backed by his piano, and
it works wonderfully. Some takes are live solo performances in small venues, and others are
in a concert hall with full band behind him. This is great stuff and is highly recommended to
anyone who is more than a casual fan of Bruce Hornsby.

It's a very addictive recording. And Zoe is my other woman so I'm a bit biased.
