Been spinnin' way more vinyl than digital these days...

I picked up the Doors Box set on vinyl a week or so ago. It's pretty darned good. Better than some of my old white label promos of the same albums. The remaster of Soft Parade is a little on the thin side but still pretty good.

Morrison Hotel sounds really good....dead quiet

Picked this up for 50 cents and was stunned by the quality of playing and sound by the Academy of Ancient Music. This French pressing is very natural and spectacularly clear. It reminds me of another "original instruments" ensemble, the Nicholas McGegan troupe, the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra on the Harmonia Mundi label. Terrific early Christmas present!

Another treasure found at my fave record store. Coleman Hawkins on Pablo records pressed in Spain.
