Not sure what a WE tribute recording is, but it's an excellent set of performances of Weather Report tunes by contemporary jazz players like Marcus Miller, Trinity, Clive Stevens, etc. I know that the same producers also put out tribute albums for Mahavishnu Orchestra and Miles Davis...

No worries...I thought that's what you meant, but in this hobby, you never know..."WE" could have referred to some specific set of tribute performances of some kind...

Anyways, this one has a release date in 2004. It (and the MO and Miles tributes) showed up on my Amazon recommendations list after I picked up a Marcus Miller CD...

Hell I was just reading another thread(the burn-in-out one) on this forum and things did not look too pretty.

THis is a pretty good disc...music covering a lot of ground, jazz, reggae, world, electronica...
