Larry Coryell, Victor Bailey, Lenny White, "TRAFFIC"
Just saw these guys last night and of course put on a very impressive show. What else would someone expect with talent like this in one room. The cool thing is they played the whole disc for the 1st time live during the last of 4 shows and I was there! I bought the cd not knowing it was an SACD until I looked at it more closely this morning. The recording in fantastic. 1 microphone, no overdubs, no compressors in the signal path, no multitracking, no large mixing consoles. That is what it says and it sound great. Each player is exactly where they are according to the picture on the disc. You can even hear Larry breathing during his acoustic number. This makes me want to find some more Chesky Recordings. Any suggestion's?
