Andy McKay and NEXT- Sound Roots (Mapleshade).  No compression, no equalization here.  First take live at a table nearest the stage.  Turn this bitch UP if you dare!  Plus, this is good and down jazz.  On this recording in my system the horn players are clearly standing.

Radio Retaliation- Thievery Corporation (ESL Music).  Saw this band on Austin City Limits and they were jammin.  Saw a dishwashing commercial on TV recently and the music playing was from La Revancha del Tango by Gotan Project.  Go figure.  That disc has me imagining me and Ivana Trump are tango'in around the dance floor.

Something Old...

Whiskeytown, Strangers Almanac [Vinyl]

Something New...

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, Cardinology [Vinyl]

I just got Cardinology on LP, but I think it is some of Adams' best work since Whiskeytown.  Sounds more like the old stuff, which is better, imo, than a lot of Adams' more recent work.  Plus, the LP is a good deal because you get the cool orange colored vinyl, the extra 45 rpm, the free download of the album, fancy illustrated lyric book, etc.
