Opeth - Blackwater Park
"Morningrise" Opeth (1996) Amazing how you extract the "Opeth" sound into their later albums from their earlier work. Including this gem.I love every studio album from "Orchid" up to "Watershed".I'm not sure, if I didn't mention to you, other swedish band called In Mourning?

Sweden puts out a lot of great melodic black, death and doom metal bands. Another one is Katatonia. Saw both Opeth and Katatonia live maybe five years ago. BTW (for me) I'll take "Watershed" as Opeth's best album just ahead of Ghost Reveries.

If I may, I would like to extend your comment, that Scandinavia put out a lot of great melodic, death and doom metal bands.Another fine example would be Barren Earth, Insomnium or Mors Principium Est, all from Finland.I just did an interesting count, my cd collection contains 781 studio albums, out of 165 artists, I counted 73 scandinavian artists.I have discovered that scene in very early nineties, throughtout the years I have sold some of it and I'm really regretting it now, thank God or Satan for Discogs and some reissues!!!!!
