There is a Forte 4a amp I am considering. I now own Monarchy Monos, the SM 70s -- non Pro version. I want to pick up two of the SM 70 Pros, or perhaps an old standby, the Forte 4A. The Monarchys have an nominal 70 watt rating while the stereo output of the Forte 4A is 50 watts per channel. Has anyone had a chance to hear these amps in the same system? Even if not, do you have any comments/opinions to offer. I've never heard the Forte 4A, but I certainly have heard about it. Both these products operate as Class A amplifiers. I just wonder if one is more "Class A" than the other.
