Listening Session after the LAOCAS Meeting next Sunday?

Hey fellow Ragers!

I've been thinking about hosting a listening session for a while now. And Hajime encouraged me to set something up after he came over to listen a few months back.

So since many of you will be in the neighborhood for the LAOCAS meeting, how about next Sunday evening? I'm thinking 4 to 7pm or 5 to 8pm depending on when the software swap meet wraps up at the hotel. My place is in Westminster about 8 miles south of the meeting hotel. How many of you might be open to that?

It would be more of an open house, spin some tunes, check out the russtafarian rig kind of thing as opposed to a gear evaluation session. Here's a brief overview of the russtafarian rig as it now stands:

Speakers are the Gallo Nucleus Reference II augmented with stereo dipole subs and Magnepan MMG-Ws for rear channels. Quicksilver monoblocks drive the Gallos and my newly built DIY UCD amp drives the subs and rear channel maggies. Preamps are the Sony TAP-9000ES for multichannel and Manley Shrimp for stereo. Sources are a somewhat stock Sony NS999ES for CD/SACD and a music PC for DVD-A and over 400 gigabytes of apple lossless CD files. I also have a modest vinyl rig (P3, Shure cart, dB45 phono pre) for those who swing in that direction.

Hi Russ, So, ... don't want to hijack this thread, but I'm interested in your UCD amps. What did you build, and how do they sound versus, versus tube and SS gear? You can PM me if you like. Thinking about building one. So just curious of the details and sound. Thanks.
