Looks interesting, but note that the link for Issue 1 doesn't work.

BTW, I liked the Poor Man's Variac a lot. Very clever!

This means that you first go to the page
http://www.affordableaudio.org
and from there use the link
http://www.affordableaudio.org/AAissue1-06.pdf
